A Community Initiative by Singapore Women's Association (SWA)
(In collaboration with Symrise Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, 2022–2025)
Project Rebuild was jointly launched by Singapore Women's Association (SWA) and Symrise Asia Pacific Pte Ltd with a shared purpose: to support women and children impacted by domestic violence who are taking temporary refuge in shelters, and to help them rebuild their lives towards a safer, more hopeful future.
SWA and Symrise were aligned in their commitment to empowering vulnerable communities through practical support, dignity, and sustainable pathways forward.
Partnership & Roles
From 2022 to December 2025, Symrise served as the corporate partner, providing cash donations to fund Project Rebuild initiatives. SWA acted as the programme coordinator, overseeing implementation, partnerships, and the responsible disbursement of funds to ensure meaningful impact.
Note: The collaboration with Symrise Asia Pacific Pte Ltd concludes in December 2025. SWA Project Rebuild will continue beyond 2025 with the same purpose and mission, as SWA seeks new corporate partners to sustain and grow this meaningful work.
Purpose & Vision
Moonshot (2022–2025)
To establish a long-term, impactful collaboration that ensures continuity of support for survivors of domestic violence during their transition period.
While the formal partnership period ends in December 2025, SWA remains committed to continuing Project Rebuild as part of our ongoing mission to uplift women and children in need.
Progressive Missions (2022–2024)
Project Rebuild is designed to empower survivors with a progressive and sustainable future. The programme aligns with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to support corporate partners in their CSR and sustainability journeys:
SDG 1: No Poverty
SDG 4: Quality Education
SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
Key Missions
Project Rebuild focuses on holistic recovery and reintegration through the following initiatives:
Economic Empowerment
Providing part-time work opportunities and training to support career development and livelihood sustenance.
Interim Financial Support
Offering measured, "drip" funding to assist with daily living expenses during a designated transition period.
Healing & Social Reintegration
Organising activities that restore normalcy, foster community connection, and support trauma recovery.
Our Approach
SWA works closely with trusted partners and shelters to ensure that assistance is directed to the right beneficiaries, at the right time, and in the right way. Support is channelled through identified beneficiaries to deliver impact in line with the shared values and missions established under Project Rebuild.
Looking Ahead
As SWA Project Rebuild continues beyond 2025, SWA is actively seeking new corporate sponsors and partners who share our commitment to rebuilding lives, restoring dignity, and creating sustainable pathways forward for women and children.
Together, we can continue to rebuild lives — with hope, compassion, and purpose.
