Laughter Yoga Sets a New Singapore Record

On 27 December 2025, Singapore Women’s Association (SWA) Laughter Yoga Wellness Club, in collaboration with Toa Payoh West Thomson Active Ageing Centre, proudly achieved a historic milestone by entering the Singapore Book of Records for the Largest Mass Laughter Yoga Session, with 252 participants.

Held at Plaza @ 128, the joyful event was graced by Mr Chee Hong Tat, Minister for National Development and Adviser to the Bishan–Toa Payoh Grassroots Organisations. The programme began with a brief introduction to Laughter Yoga, followed by 40 minutes of interactive laughter yoga exercises and 15 minutes of energetic laughter yoga dance. The residents participated enthusiastically, filling the venue with laughter, movement, and positive energy.

The session was led by Laughter Yoga Master Trainer Sara Mei Woo, with Certified Teachers Faith Ong and Angela Wong, supported by a dedicated team of 13 Laughter Yoga Leaders guided by Teachers Tan Lee Hua, Susan Seng, and Vimala, who ensured active engagement on the ground.
