Singapore Women’s Association (SWA) is pleased to share the start of a new community collaboration with NTUC Health Active Ageing Centre (Serangoon Central). On 27 January 2026, the SWA Laughter Yoga Wellness Club conducted its first laughter yoga outreach session, marking the beginning of a monthly wellness programme for seniors at the centre.

Inaugural Session

The inaugural session welcomed 20 active seniors and introduced them to the fundamentals of Laughter Yoga through warm-up and welcome exercises, mind games, and guided laughter yoga practices. The session concluded joyfully with Bollywood-style laughter yoga dance and gratitude songs, filling the space with positive energy and heartfelt laughter.

Embracing Laughter for Wellness

The seniors participated with great enthusiasm—playing, laughing, singing, dancing, and truly immersing themselves in what we fondly call a “serious laughter yoga session”—where laughter is intentional, meaningful, and deeply beneficial for both mind and body.

Looking Ahead

We are delighted to see the joy and connection shared during the session and look forward to continuing these monthly laughter yoga sessions. Through this collaboration, we hope to encourage more seniors to embrace laughter yoga as a regular practice and enjoy its many wellness benefits.
