SWA and Ren Ci Community Hospital Celebrate National Day Together

OOn 17 Aug 2024, Singapore Women’s Association (SWA) joined Ren Ci Community Hospital for a special National Day party. Young and old came together to celebrate Singapore’s birthday!

The party kicked off with a warm welcome speech by Lee Li Hua, President of SWA. Then, everyone sang the National Anthem together. Vanessa Tiara, Miss Singapore Pageant International 2024, led everyone in saying the pledge.

Fun and Laughter

The highlight of the day was a Laughter Yoga session conducted by Fang Fang, Faith, Honey, Linda Lim, Linda Tham, and Betty Ho. This interactive activity brought smiles and joy to the seniors and volunteers alike.

Music and Performances

Music played a central role in the celebration. Carmen delivered stunning performances of “順流逆流” and “南海姑娘,” and Seah Chin Aik joined her for a duet of “無言的結局” and “U Yia Bo, 有影無.” The group singalong to “Rasa Sayang” created a memorable moment of unity and happiness.

Engaging Activities

Seniors enjoyed various game booths, photo opportunities, and ice cream treats. Charlotte, Miss Singapore International 2019, and Fang Fang, as the event MCs, kept the energy high throughout the day.

Closing Highlights

The celebration concluded with a screening of the National Day Parade 2024 highlights, leaving everyone with a sense of nostalgia and pride. The event was a true testament to the spirit of Singapore, showcasing care, joy, and community togetherness.
