SWA's Lunar New Year Lunch for Seniors 2024
In the vibrant spirit of the Year of the Dragon, the Singapore Women's Association (SWA) held its Annual Lunar New Year Luncheon for Seniors on February 29, 2024. This festive event was held at the Chui Huay Lim Club, where over 300 esteemed seniors from different communities and senior homes gathered to celebrate the new year in unity and joy.
The event was honoured by the esteemed presence of Dr Lim Wee Kiak, Member of Parliament for Sembawang GRC, who has acknowledged the joint efforts of SWA and its corporate partners and affirmed the cherished tradition of honouring our elders.
SWA's esteemed partner, PetroChina International (Singapore) Pte Ltd, played a pivotal role as the event's sponsor, showing their unwavering commitment to the community and the values that SWA stands for.
Amidst the red and gold hues that symbolize prosperity and good fortune, the elderly guests were treated to various activities, song performances, and traditional delights. From the sumptuous luncheon to the lively entertainment Er Gu 蔡平开 and her team provided, the event showcased cultural appreciation and communal warmth.
The distribution of red packets by Dr Lim Wee Kiak, alongside SWA representatives and the CEO of PetroChina International (Singapore) Pte Ltd, was a highlight, adding a personal touch of prosperity and happiness to the festivities.
