I am honoured to attend the Singapore Women's Association's (SWA) Annual Charity Dinner. As the Guest of Honour for several years now, I am delighted to show my support and utmost appreciation of the wonderful work that they do.
For over 70 years, SWA has held a special place in our community and, I am sure, in many of our hearts. Your steadfast commitment to uplifting women, children and seniors have made, and continues to make, a meaningful difference in countless lives.
As we mark SG60 this year, let us remember that a compassionate society can only be built when people not only care, but care enough to step forward. Thank you to SWA's board, volunteers, and generous supporters for all that you do. Together, we will hold steady the beacon of hope to light up the lives of all who are in need.

Dear Guests,
Welcome to the SWA 48th Charity Gala Dinner!
Tonight, we come together with a shared vision of community care, supporting seniors, empowering women, and inspiring work and children from shelters. As Maya Angelou wisely said, "I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it." This sentiment reflects the strength and resilience we aim to cultivate in our community.
By prioritizing community care, we build a foundation of support for everyone. Supporting our seniors ensures their voices are valued and their contributions acknowledged. Empowering women strengthens families and fosters growth, while inspiring children from shelters lights the path toward a hopeful future.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our generous sponsors and dedicated volunteers. Your support truly makes a difference in the lives of those we serve. Together, we are not just raising funds; we are fostering a movement of compassion and change.
Thank you for joining us in this important cause. Together, let's continue to uplift one another and make a lasting impact.

Singapore Women's Association - Empowering Women, Supporting Community
Founded in June 1954 as the Siglap Girls' Club, the Singapore Women's Association has grown from serving underprivileged girls to becoming a cornerstone of community empowerment in Singapore.
Officially renamed in 1960, SWA expanded its mission to empowering women and supporting the elderly across our nation. As a founding member of the Federation of Asian Women's Associations, we've championed social welfare and community well-being for over seven decades.
From launching the Singapore VisionCare Programme to establishing our Annual Charity Dinner and creating the Athena Academy, SWA continues to adapt and serve our community's evolving needs.

Empowering Women, Enriching Communities
Since 1954, Singapore Women's Association has been a beacon of hope, touching lives and transforming communities across Singapore.
Through our Singapore VisionCare Programme, we provide free eye screenings to over 1,000 seniors annually, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
100% proceeds from the wine sale during the dinner event will be donated to the Singapore Women's Association to support their initiatives and programs.
Last year's charity dinner was extra special as we celebrated SWA's 70th Anniversary - seven decades of dedicated service to our community. The evening brought together supporters and friends to raise funds for our vital programs including elderly care and youth empowerment.
This milestone celebration showcased the impact we've made together and set the foundation for continued community service in the years ahead.
